Matthew, Emily, and I went skiing one day during Spring Break. It was such a fun day. The weather got pretty snowy in the afternoon, but we toughed it out. It was Emily's second time skiing and this time we put her in an all day lesson which was really more of a camp because it was spring break. We went to get her during lunch to come eat with us and she said she wanted to stay and eat with her friends! By the end of the day, she had mastered the bunny hill and now she's ready to go beyond. We're looking forward to next year.

Children's Museum
On a day with no school in March, we were invited to go with some friends down to the children's museum in Salem. It was great because it wasn't crowded there since they still had school. It was such a fun museum, I'm so glad we went. So many fun rooms that the kids could have spent hours in. The favorites were the bubble room, the craft room, and the amazing outdoor playground, but there were a lot of other cool things too.
This room was amazing, the kids loved making huge bubbles.
Crafts without having to clean up!
We had 19 kids with us 4 moms. Here are the girls:
And the boys:
There was a cool bridge right by it so we went across before going home and enjoyed the sunshine.

How many stuffed animals/dolls can you get around a table?
At least 19!
I came home one day and found the girls doing a tea party for their dolls and stuffed animals. The picture doesn't really do it justice. There are even some on the bottom bunk of the doll bunk bed that you can't see. They play so creatively together. Sometimes for the whole day, it is quite amazing.
Nicole Turned 4!
Nicole turned 4 in January. She had been begging for a Tangled party ever since we went to see the movie, so we decorated the ceiling with lanterns. The kids had fun making them.
We celebrated with her grandparents on her birthday
She loves her new bike!
Her friends came for a party a few days later. They played Pin the hair on the tower.
And musical chairs
And cupcakes with Rapunzel rings on them.
She has really grown up over the last few months. She has become more helpful and more independent. She is really interested in writing her letters and often asks me how to spell things. She loves legos, puzzles, and princesses. She is a very passionate kid with a lot of energy and as some would say, "a good set of lungs," but we love her for that. I love that she likes to make us laugh and enjoys being the center of attention and putting on a show, especially if it involves singing. She came home from Primary on Sunday and said she wanted a picture of the temple on her wall because her primary teacher said she should. She was very specific about where it should go in her room. She is such a joy to have in our home.

Sky High
On a day off of school in January, I told Emily and Angela they could each invite a friend to go to Sky High, a new trampoline jumping place I had heard about. I bought our tickets the day before online and was glad I did because when we got there, there was a 2 1/2 hour wait to get in if you hadn't prebought. But the girls had a blast! Loud music, kids everywhere and a warehouse full of trampolines, what could be better than that? I was sort of wishing I had bought a ticket too. I saw some moms getting a serious workout.

April Fool's Treat
This is what the kids had for snack after school today. When they got home I told them that I made dinner early and they were having spaghetti with meatballs, mashed potatoes and gravy, and peas and carrots. They looked at me wierd and then saw the cupcakes and laughed and got excited. I didn't really fool them, they knew they were cupcakes, but it was fun anyway. I got the idea here. I used mini cupcakes so the kids could have one of each kind. They were pretty fast and easy to make. It took a lot more runts than I thought, so I didn't have enough to make more of the peas and carrots.
A couple of Emily's friends came in to enjoy the snack also.
I don't usually make holiday oriented food, but it was fun to do it today, so maybe there will be more of that in the future.
