One afternoon we drove farther south on Maui to see the lava.

My dad, Melissa, Jeff, and Matthew went to the top of Mt. Haleakala and rode their bikes all the way down. That's 10,000 feet in 38 miles. Three of them were on bikes and they took turns driving.
This is the crater at the top (actually not a crater, it's called an erosion valley). It's beautiful, I think it looks almost like another planet.
Does it really take 3 guys to fix a flat tire?
Matthew and I are not in this picture, but we did this same canoe ride one morning. We were not as lucky as my sisters and Dad who saw many sea turtles, but it was fun to be out on the ocean.
The adults, except for Jennifer, Michelle, and I, went on a zipline tour. It was a series of 5 ziplines, the last one a half mile long, Hawaii's longest zipline.
Matthew is on the left.
