Summer 2010: Boating

We were able to go boating with my parents and sister a few times this summer. The girls are getting brave on the tube and being out in the boat is always fun.
Ashley didn't love wearing the lifejacket. Who can blame her? They really don't fit babies very well.

We couldn't believe how brave Nicole was on the tube. She got right on. At the end of this ride, she just stood up and starting walking and dancing on the tube. I don't think she realized how easily she might fall off.

One time the sheriff came by and gave the girls free ice cream in reward for wearing their lifejackets.

Ashley's favorite spot.
Her other favorite thing is playing with this pole and the ropes.

We were able to go in the evening one time so Matthew could come. He was a great sport to go on tube rides with everyone.

Matthew and Michelle had a tube riding competition (not sure what that really is, but they had fun anyway).
Matthew jumped off at the end so Michelle could "win."
We ended the evening with what the girls call a crazy boat ride. My dad makes sharp turns and those sitting in the back get thrown side to side.

I love, love, love those picture--especially the one of Nicole with your dad. She's so cute. It reminds me of your dad taking us friends out on the tube and trying to make us fly off. Those are such fun memories! Lucky you to have such a fun family tradition that you are now sharing with your kids.

What fun memories for your fam. I too remember going out with you and your dad on the boat. You are all such a wonderful family.
