Banks/Vernonia Trail

On a day off of school in April, we met a bunch of friends at the Buxton trailhead of the Banks/Vernonia trail which is a nice, wide paved path. The kids rode scooters or bikes while we moms tried to keep up with strollers and then we stopped for a picnic lunch before heading back. It was a gorgeous day, although still quite cool, and it was nice to get out after all the rain we'd been having (and are still having).
The kids were fascinated with this hill.

Most of the kids, a few had to get home and we didn't get the picture before they left.

There's a really cool bridge to cross. This picture doesn't do it justice, it's very high in the air and quite long.

We had to stop for ice cream at DQ on the way back.

Ashley enjoyed eating an ice cream cone by herself.
