Angela and Ashley's birthdays are one day apart, so we had a fun celebration together with family.
Emily's present was very special. She worked constantly for a few days making this book from a kit she received for her birthday. She spent a lot of time writing the story and then rewriting it into this book and adding pictures.
She was sure excited about presents!
Presents are fun to crawl over!
I made them each their own cakes. I borrowed the large cupcake pan from a friend and I thought it turned out so cute. Angela wanted our family favorite ice cream cake.
I love watching them have their cake on their first birthday. I think it's the only time I really let them make a mess of it. (Since Ashley is the 4th child, this was unfortunately not her first time to have cake or ice cream!) We let her try both cakes and she loved it!
